“Who You Say I Am” By Hillsong was a song I got immersed in.
It was a period of my life where I was trying to understand my identity in Christ.
I was not exactly satisfied with the answers I was getting.
I remember the first time I heard the song, it was in a concert. I think a Christmas concert (lol).
I didn’t exactly hear all the lyrics but I heard clearly:
“I am chosen Not forsaken! I am who you say I am”
I downloaded the song, afterwards.
Listened over and over, it drove me to study the bible more, I highlighted all that He said/says I am.
..and here I am!
Recently, I saw a movie titled Overcomer and in it, this song was played. I screamed and sang along- “Who the Son sets free! Oh is free indeed! I’m a child of God! Yes I am!!”
