Hi FAM! It’s February!!! Happy New Month to you all.

I honestly suck at this ‘adulting’ life if not for Jesus and supportive folks around me. I don’t know how to let you guys know but I got much more responsibilities this year just as the prophecies came. LETTERS TO DEAR FUTURE HUSBAND I

Yaasss let’s dive into it already, I know your thoughts lol. Here’s another letter, the fourth in the series:

Dear Future Husband,

I see a lot around me, guys talking carelessly without apologizing. Some leaving their minds to whatever the media says.

I still choose to believe you’re and would be a person of intellect not just spiritual(remember our previous conversations in my letters)

I’ve always been drawn to how people’s minds work😍 I can’t resist a(n) focused/intellectual mind. Asides my desire to marry a believer in Christ, I had(still do) unspoken desires to marry someone who I could actually interact/connect with. You know, crack jokes(no matter how dry it seems) and they’d still find it funny, they tickle and get away with it,

who when he speaks I can continually just stare at(I blame it on some movies🥺😂) because I’m mesmerized by his thought patterns and life….like “hey how are you so smart?? How are you so selfless and still focused? can I kiss you every minute, baby?”🙆🏾‍♀😂😂I won’t tell you guys my love language(s) yet but I have imagined me and my husband not just doing a he-who-stares-longer-stares-best contest but a genuine staring spree till God knows what next😂 the things that go on in my head ehn lol. I’m sure we all have those.

But I’ve come to understand that while all these are great, it’s a lot of work to really keep your mind sane in a world like ours. To believe that marriage works. It’s even almost difficult to believe in the reality of enjoying one’s marriage. I’ve come to realise that even tho people grow later on, the mindset you imbibe during your single life is the same one you take into marriage.

To those reading, get to know how whoever you’re dating or courting thinks about the faith and major issues of life. A lot of garbage here and there!!

I know you’ve heard this countless of times but no matter how alone you are, there’s nothing like a happy and satisfied single. Some of us want someone who can lift 10kg, build six packs, remain loyal to us but we don’t even have half pack😂😂neither are we working on the lack of commitment and excuses we keep coming up with to those around us now that we’re single.

You want to marry a praying woman but you can’t even pray 5mins without dozing off🌚 I’m not saying you won’t get the things you pray for(or even better). I’m saying even if God’s love is unconditional there are conditions to determine that people are genuine. With your ‘prayings’, check their devotion to the things of God.

I’m also saying be sure you don’t have unrealistic expectations that it begins to cloud your reasoning or shift your focus away from Christ. Be sure you are also willing to learn and grow.🤭

Dear future hubby, God has been correcting a lot of my mindsets and teaching me His. I know He’s taking you through these phases too.
